Working on ladders can be hazardous. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics data, falls from ladders account for nearly 24,000 injuries and over 100 deaths each year in private industry. A fall can result when a ladder fails due to overloading, misuse, or damage. You can lose your grip, slip or lose your balance when trying to reach too far. Whether you’re using a ladder at work or at home, follow safe work procedures to keep from getting hurt.
