Man Dies Installing Safety Net
DATELINE: New York 10/13/11
A construction worker fell six stories to his death inside a church while trying to install a safety net. The 33-yr-old lost his footing on a ladder presumably when he and a co-worker received electric shocks. They were drilling in the ceiling and may have struck a live wire.
Lessons Learned
• Installing fall protection requires FALL PROTECTION.
• Lockout power off & he’s still alive.
